The surgery itself will be performed under general anaesthetic and takes between one to two hours. If you feel that you would benefit from your hips being treated for a more defined result you can combine an Abdominoplasty with Liposuction or Vaser Liposuction. You will not see any difference above your navel, nor will the surgery treat the area around your hips as this would give an uneven result. If you proceed with a Mini Abdominoplasty, any excess skin and fat below your belly button and above your bikini line will be removed and muscles in the area will be tightened. This excess skin is commonly the result of pregnancy or slight weight loss and cannot be addressed through exercise and healthy eating. Whilst you are standing you may look like you have a perfect figure, but when you sit down, you have a small amount of skin that may sit above your bikini line or knickers. Having a firm, flat stomach can make a huge difference to the way you feel and when it's not possible to achieve this through diet and exercise alone, Tummy Tuck surgery can be the right option.Ī Mini Tummy Tuck, or Partial Tummy Tuck targets a much smaller area i.e., below the belly button and above the bikini line. ![]() In some cases, your skin may snap back as it once was, but most people may be left with loose skin on your tummy, as well as other areas including thighs and arms.įeeling self-conscious about your figure can make it really difficult to be confident in yourself and can even stop you wearing outfits you'd love to look good in. I essentially use the fat taken from the liposuction and inject this into the hip area to sculpt the hips. Even if you perform liposuction on the waist, you will not achieve an hourglass figure if you do not perform fat transfer to the hips. I add liposuction to the abdomen to decrease the thickness of the fat layer to make the waist smaller before transferring fat to the hips. Afterwards, I tighten the muscles and cut the excess skin like a traditional tummy tuck. These two anatomical structures extend from the anterior part of the body all the way to the posterior, accentuating your hourglass shape in different profiles. For example, I like to do liposuction on the waist from the backside as well as the flank. The lower back is more important to provide a better hourglass definition than the upper back. So how can you get an hourglass shape with the hourglass tummy tuck and what are the components necessary to achieve these results? For starters, I always do liposuction on the upper and lower back. The hourglass tummy tuck is completely different from a traditional tummy tuck and one of the many hourglass procedures I perform. ![]() It is a procedure that I have developed after examining thousands of women’s before and after pictures. The hourglass tummy tuck is the next generation of body contour procedures.
